The 2018 Willamina volleyball team has had an amazing season this year. Varsity coach Heather Hughes lead the team to a six in two win-loss record in the Co-Champions of the Coastal Range League.

Hughes’ recipe to success is to have great,“team chemistry, communication on and off the court, a drive to be competitive, and a drive to win.”

Hughes was honored with ‘Coach of the Year’ and with this she advises her players to,

“keep playing and don’t stop until you get to the top.”

Six of the volleyball players were nominated for all league volleyball: Hannah Hughes, Grace France, Brianna Burk, Taryn Hunt, Macayla Tuck and Zorien Klass.

The team also had their annual volleyball clinic with an amazing turn out; 63 kids in grades three to six. They got to improve their volleyball skills, learn a cheer and get a t-shirt supporting volleyball. The players worked hard this season and hope to have another great volleyball season next year.
